One major copywriting skill I was reminded of by another marketing pro is to always mention the wiifm (What’s In It For Me) whenever features are described.

Here are example excerpts from one of my sites describing a Get Paid Today business:

You will see that I have inserted the wiifm (What’s It It For Me) with the bridging statements: “This means that …”  and “thus” and “in this way” and this means that the reader will relate to what is being said.

The business has 5 separate pay plans (5 Levels), and they are paying out a full 100% on all sales, and being that they are a direct sales company, all commissions are sent directly from member to member. With this business you are effectively marketing the rights to sell 5 packages consisting of over 700 downloadable digital and software products, with value propositions which far exceed the unit cost. You also have access to these products for your own use, or you can exercise master resell rights or you give the products away (e.g., for promotions etc).  This GPT business model is unique in that each of the 5 packages is priced at an entry point which allows the buyer to progressively scale up package acquisition depending on available funds, with the first package paid forward on your behalf by your sponsor following the one-up system. The remaining packages follow the two-up system, thus ensuring a continuing cash-flow that grows exponentially.

This means that unlike most other GPT businesses out there, you do not need $2,000, $1000, $500 to enter with. In fact you can come in at $0 because the first entry level of $47 is paid forward for you by your sponsor.

You can easily google up any of the products contained in each package just from the cover graphic and confirm that overall, for each package, the product purchase prices advertised elsewhere on the net far exceed the average price paid for each product.

This means that you will have comfort that you are engaging in a legitimate e-commerce business and you don’t have to worry about being involved with a scam.

The video tour itself gives the best and clearest graphical explanation of the one-up and two-up mechanisms I have ever seen.

This means that you will find it easy to understand the lucrative compensation plan and explain it to others and answer their questions.

A more advanced video which goes into more depth on the compensation plan can be found towards the end of the How It Works tab under the heading: “2 UP Flash Movie”. This will appeal to more advanced online business professionals as it truly gives a clear vision of the tremendous earning potential from this business.

This means that you will attract those who will come in at higher package levels, all 5 levels even, because they will quickly understand how they can make money now, instead of waiting 30 days, 45 days, 6 months or never, if their wavering downlines fall off the tree. With this business there is no downline. You get paid today, not tomorrow. The company does not handle the package sales proceeds (commissions) – these are paid directly from member to member.

Thus the company cannot hold up payments or arbitrarily change payment plans. This payment structure also means that no pyramidal distribution or ponzi mechanism is possible.

Added to this is a pay-it-forward mechanism that enables anyone to get started
without initially outlaying any funds for acquiring the first package.

This means that apart from the $10 reseller subscription fee you pay nothing to get started.

There is a monthly $10 subscription for the administration and tracking software infrastructure to host and operate the business. This is excellent value considering that similar businesses, for far less operability, will set you back over $30 or more a month.

This means that you have access to an effective lead capture system and mailer without outlaying extra money and time to set up your own list building system and your own auto-responders.

So from these example excerpts I hope you can see how important it is to ensure that you insert your “wiifm”  in your ads, blog posts and website entries.  In this way your reader will want to keep reading what you have to say.  Thus they may be more likely to join your business.
