What is a Get Paid Today business?
A question I am often asked is that aren’t Get Paid Today (GPT) businesses with the one-up and two-up compensation plans just like those other internet schemes that are here today and gone tomorrow.
My reply is usually along these lines:
A valid Get Paid Today business is set up as s fully-fledged e-commerce business where real value product or service is exchanged for each payment made.
Products are usually not physical – i. e., the right to attend conferences on wealth creation, real estate planning, and tax advice or for instant downloadable digital software and ebooks.
Because access to the present or future use of these products is instant payments can be made directly between members. Monies do not have to be handled by the GPT company itself. Usually a separate monthly subscription fee is paid to the GPT company for tracking software, conference registration and/or for digital product download.
Please bear in mind that this type of Get Paid Today business is a fully-fledged e-commerce business – not some flaky internet marketing scheme that is here today and gone tomorrow.
The latter are really money-chains that rely on more and more people paying their way into downlines, matrices, cyclers, doublers, paid auto-surfs, ad-packs, advertising arbitrage, and hyips. A valid GPT business does not need on any of this. There is NO downline. Real value products are exchanged for every payment made.
The compensation plan uses a one-up and two-up system that really represents a reward to your sponsor for helping you get started. This is a valid, legitimate compensation model that applies online or offline. Unlike most traditional multi-level marketing schemes, you keep 100% of the sales proceeds and you keep them the day you are paid – not 20% in 45 days’ time if and when the company decides to pay you.
Because payments are made directly between member to member there is no chance that the business can be construed as, or turned into, a pyramid or ponzi scheme.
The one proviso here is that the product being bought needs to have real value to someone, not necessarily yourself. This can be confirmed by conducting a Google search of what others are charging for the same product. It is immaterial as to whether the product has value to you, personally. What is important is that the product has value to those who have a need. For example, unless you have a dog then e-books on modifying dog behavior would have no value to you – but may have value to those who own a dog. Another valid analogy here is that people who buy a franchise to run a hardware store do not, themselves, need to be compelled to actually use all of the products on the shelves. They buy the franchise to make money. They will make money if they are efficient in selling goods to those who have a need – and different people have different needs, at different times.
Now, once you have qualified under the one-up or two-up compensation plan, you only need one or two good people to make a success of your GPT business.
However, as with offline businesses, it is always a challenge to find good people willing to put in the effort to understand such a business, believe in it, and promote it. So you must always keep promoting, marketing and advertising your GPT business as you would any offline venture.
As with any valid business, online or offline, there is no shortcut here. The internet itself makes no real difference here – it just facilitates transactions and product delivery.
The main point here is that you are indeed paid on the same day as someone purchases from you, and you are paid 100% of the sales proceeds. That is why the Get Paid Today business model is so effective and is gaining traction worldwide.
