Know WHERE To Promote Your Business
Are you coming to the realization that “paint-by-the-numbers” marketing systems just do not work in the long-run?
There are many of these so-called marketing systems that seem to offer sure-fire ways to build your business. They come under headings such as “system of three” and “our trained marketers will do the selling for you” and act as an enticement to join a networking business, pay fees and become financially committed before you can even see what the proposed marketing system is all about. In fact the promoters make it a condition that you financially commit yourself first before you can gain access to see those sites you will be promoting from.
The problem with these systems is that everybody ends up advertising to the SAME sites (usually traffic exchanges and safe-lists) causing the SAME ads (or spiel) for the SAME business to be posted to the SAME people who will just eventually switch off.
The advertising becomes ineffective because it becomes diluted.
Now here is a method that will allow you to find fresh, new sources of marketing at any time:
Just list the keywords which capture the benefits of your business. Do a Google search on these keywords and list those businesses, and the urls of where those businesses are promoted, on a note-pad or word document. In this way you will find not only WHAT people are promoting but more importantly, WHERE and HOW they promote.
OR, just do a Google Search for the name of any program that provides similar outcomes as yours. Do NOT spend time evaluating the program itself. If you do then you become the hunted, not the hunter. Instead, evaluate WHERE and HOW these programs are promoted and see if you can adapt your findings to promoting YOUR business. You are effectively “reverse engineering” other people’s marketing approaches and adapting these approaches to YOUR business.
By using this technique you will soon build a huge list of marketing resources that may incur little or even no cost at all.
Remember, always use tracking to determine which promotional methods work and which don’t.

Promote something of ‘value’ and you can even turn a promotion into ‘content’
I have heard the 90/10 rule works best, but the point is, whether its 80/20 or 90/10 or 75/25 doesn’t matter as much as how VALUABLE is the CONTENT you are delivering
If you follow 99/1 and your 99% content is irrelavant, untimely, and just plain valueless to your readership, you really don’t have a 99/1 ratio
